This firm boasts an outstanding projects practice. It is looking to build upon its success in this area by a senior appointment so as to further develop the international side of the practice.
The existing team advises clients (who include state entities and multi-national corporations) in connection with infrastructure and capital projects including IPPs; oil and gas transactions (upstream, refining and downstream); commodities and mining; acquisitions and operating arrangements including in the Steel, Port, Transportation and Raw Material sectors; international joint ventures; trade and project finance; political and credit risk insurance and offset arrangements.
The practice is built around a broad international client base and extensive experience advising on crossborder transactions over many years. A great deal of their work is undertaken in South and Central America, Africa, the Far East, the Middle East, Russia and the former Soviet Union as well as Western Europe.
The successful candidate will undertake an interesting and varied caseload advising a broad range of clients, who range from state entities to large multi-national corporations and individual entrepreneurs, in connection with:
- commodities, derivatives and their regulation;
- oil and gas transactions (upstream and downstream);
- infrastructure and capital projects;
- international arbitration and dispute resolution;
- international joint ventures; and
- international trade and project finance.
