In these times of economic uncertainty family law is one practice area which is certainly more recession proof. Wisely therefore our client is looking to capitalise on the excellent reputation it already has in this area and appoint a further family lawyer to the team. There is an existing caseload for you to take over so a following is not required but it is our experience that family clients tend to remain more loyal to the individual solicitor than the firm and of course any client base you can bring with you will put you at an advantage. The existing caseload is a mix of both privately and publicly funded work and covers the whole range of matters: Divorce, ancillary relief; private Children Act matters; pre nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. The firm is however looking to develop the private source of income due to the financial constraints imposed by the LSC but remains loyal in what it feels is its duty to offer access to justice to those clients who are unable to pay privately.
