The success of the employment department of this highly reputed Legal 500 firm demands the appointment of a further assistant. The team advises a predominantly corporate client base on a wide range of employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious. You will undertake a varied and interesting caseload including:
- Drafting contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, policies and procedures and advising generally on the terms of such documents;
- Advising on remuneration packages and pensions;
- Advising on potential dismissals and the application of disciplinary procedures;
- Negotiating termination agreements and associated financial packages;
- Advising on employment related tax matters;
- Advising on redundancies, reorganizations and restructuring;
- Advising on changing terms and conditions of employment;
- Drafting post-termination covenants, advising on their enforceability and validity and acting in injunction proceedings;
- Advising on all employment related issues connected with mergers, acquisitions, contracting out and the effect of the Transfer of Undertakings (protection of Employment) Regulations 1981 of those and related transactions;
- Advising on all aspects of equal opportunities law;
- Advising on all aspects of work and family policy and legislation;
- In-house training on all employment issues;
- Dispute resolution and representation at courts and tribunals.
