The flow of work at this thriving employment department demands the appointment of a further assistant. The team provides both contentious and non-contentious to a range of internationally-known private sector clients including telecoms providers, media organisations and financial services groups. The group has been involved in some of the most high-profile employment law cases in recent years; often at the cutting edge of employment law. In the public sector, they have been at the forefront of recent equal pay issues, both in the NHS and local government nationally. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team and will undertake a varied and interesting caseload of both contentious and non contentious matters. You could be advising clients on complex strategic issues such as redundancy/reorganisations and TUPE as well as operational matters such as the management of tribunal claims and disciplinary and grievance hearings. You will be encouraged to take an active role in business development initiatives whether that be client entertainment functions or attending seminars. The role is very much client facing so you will be given the opportunity from the outset to really make your mark.
